Ever since my Tom Sine Post I've been wrestling with the idea of community. Often is Xns and people are talked about as either part of a community or as an indivdual. I think there is a third option, the node. Most people are not part of discrete community only and neither are they alone in the world. People are like nodes or web pages. I might be linked to you but not everyone I'm linked to is also linked to you. It's fine to reject individualism for community, as many have often done, but what about nodes? Do we embrace, subvert or reject this structure? That for me is the big question.
