To celebrate my birthday and pending mid life crisis I've put a poll on the side of the blog asking if I should become a Pastor / Minister type person. It's something that I've wondered about and felt some call to at times. So give me an answer and feel free to comment.

there's a lot to consider in making a decision like that. it is a big commitment, and one that you shouldn't take without lots of prayer. However, I feel that what I know about you, the experiences and the life that you have lead would make you someone that would be really interesting to hear preach. You are someone who has an amazing pastoral care capability, which would be awesome in a parish situation.
I'll keep you in my prayers, hope God gives you a strong calling for or against.

You'll be pleased to know I've done some thinking and praying than and will continue to do more thinking and praying and won't rest the entire decision on the basis of a blog poll. :)

Hi Chris, I turned 33 yesterday myself. Happy Birthday to both of us.
I'll refrain from voting. You were a great youth group leader when I was just a baby walrus.
Board meetings, committee meeting, fund... err... I mean tithe raising, isolation from a real world full of people far from Jesus, etc. I'm sure you'd make a great pastor. But, naw, don't waste youe time. You'll do fine without the title or credentials... keep doing what God puts before you.
