Last night I got to run the opening night of a new church youth group. The group is for yr 11s to 1st year uni students. Opening night pizza and a slightly convoluted process of asking so "what would you like to do in this group?" I told the group I was keen to make it a place where they could wrestle with faith and life issues and a place where the honest answer is always better than the "right" answer.
Other youth groups that I've run are often full of people who've been forced to go to church for years and have gone to youth group just to shut their parents up and on the condition that if they don't like it after a couple of weeks they don't have to ever go again. This group is completely different, they are keen to wrestle with their faith and very committed to each other. So I feel a very very big level of responsibility to them.
The brain storming questions I used to get the so what do you guys want to do answers were...

Good luck with this Chris. I wish I had you as a youth group leader when I was 16.
Thanks Nathan :)
